What Could A Possible Crossover Between The Boys And Invincible Look Like?

Invincible

With rumors flying about Invinicable season two possibly coming this year, it has also been thrown around by fans that a crossover between Invincible and The Boys could be something to watch for. From a fans’ point of view, it would not be too hard to pull off as they both air on Prime Video and they are both about super hearo that are very very R-rated.

“During a press tour for his new film Nope, Invincible star Steven Yeun gave a one-word answer when we asked about the possibility — “nope.” And yeah, it was part of a gag he was doing with ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian, but it’s also one that he seemed slightly more introspective (or maybe just confused) about than the other questions.” according to Comic Book.com.

Omni Man VS Homelander?

Let’s say there was a crossover, what would that look like? Here is how it could possibly go. Steven Yeun’s character mark, also known as Invincible could be established as an on the rise superhero that Vought could be trying to recruit to the Seven. After he sees what Vought and Homlander are about he could defect to The Boys to try and help them take down Vought.

Meanwhile, Marks’ dad known as Omni Man could be trying to destroy the Seven to make earth easier for the Viltrumites to add to their empire, kinda like he was doing already in Invincible. A cross-over between these two shows could work if it was given a lot of thought and executed carefully but it seems very unlikely to happen based on the information that we have now.

As fun as it would be to watch Omni Man and Homelander or Invincible and Homelander go toe to toe, it just does not feel likely. A crossover that is not done perfectly could end up ruining the storylines for both shows and really cause some problems in the fanbases.

A crossover is very very unlikely

It just does not sound like an idea that either of the show’s writers would want to do as the risk would be very high, not to mention it could potentially make the Invincible comic books none-cannon.  So as cool as the idea sounds nobody should get their hopes up for an Invisible/The Boys crossover as it will most likely just not happen. With the risk of messing up already established storylines, it would probably be for the best to just leave the shows in separate universes.
