With two episodes of the Game Of Thrones sequel ‘House Of The Dragon’ now airing on HBO Max, fans are wondering one thing. Where are the other great houses from Game Of Thrones? Where are the Starks, The Lannisters, and The Baratheons? The simple answer would be they are all just ruling their own territories.

House Of The Dragon, at least the first two episodes have been focused on Kings Landing and the Targaryens. House Of The Dragon may need these families to come to Kings Landing rather than going to their far-off realms.

With that being said we have already seen some familiar houses as the Starks and the Baratheons both pledged their loyalty to the King’s hand-picked heir, his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen. We Saw Lord Rickon Stark, Warden Of The North, pledge his loyalty and protection to the princess. The Starks are one of the oldest families in Westeros and have been in the leadership seat in the North for centuries.

Each house has different responsibilities

The Lannisters as Wardens of the West are most likely at Casterly Rock being rich with all of their gold but we did see a rider at the Kings tournament wearing Lannister colors and the Lion banner was on the tournament wall as well. Unfortunately, we have not seen any really important Lannisters as of yet but it has only been two episodes.

As for the Baratheons we see quite a few in the first few episodes. We see Lord Boremund Baratheon as he competes in the tournament as he asks for the favor of princess Rhaenys, calling her the Queen who never was. He and his son Ser Borros Baratheon are thrown off their horses during the tournament by Prince Daemon Targaryen. Lord Broemund is seen again later pegging his loyalty to the new heir.

How the other houses will play a part in House Of The Dragon is not yet known but we can not imagine the story could be too advanced like Game Of Thrones if the other families are not involved. It will be very interesting to see how they affect the story and what sides each house will take when things inevitably get out of hand at Kings Landing.
