“Dancing With The Stars” Season 30 is upon us, and the official cast list has been announced. One of the names on the docket includes Olivia Jade Giannulli, but who is the celebrity competition for the Mirror Ball Trophy this season?
Us Weekly reports that Olivia Jade was born to celebrity parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli in September 1999. The social media influencer’s parents have made names for themselves as Loughlin is best known for playing the role of Aunt Becky on “Full House,” and Mossimo is a well-known fashion designer. However, Olivia Jade broke away from her parents’ fame when she became a social media influencer who gained quick popularity on YouTube.
Upon quickly garnering millions of followers online, Olivia Jade also earned sponsorships from brands such as Amazon, Sephora, Tresemme and Princess Polly.
Olivia is known for showing all aspects of her life online such as her relationships and friendships. She also offers fashion advice and makeup tutorials across her channels. However, Giannulli’s rise to fame has not been without drama.
Olivia Jade Giannulli is no stranger to controversy
In 2017, Olivia Jade took heat when she got into a car accident while she was filming herself singing the Stevie Wonder hit, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” The video garnered a ton of criticism from fans. However, things were about to get worse for the influencer.
In March 2019, Olivia Jade’s parents were both arrested in connection to the shocking college admissions scandal. Both Lori and Mossimo were charged after allegedly paying $500,000 to ensure that their daughters, Oliva and Isabella gained admission to the University of Southern California.
Since that time, both girls have withdrawn from USC and Lori and Mossimo have served jail time for their involvment in the college admissions scandal. The scandal is sure to be a huge topic of conversation for the young social media star during her time on “Dancing With The Stars” this season.
It remains to be seen if Olivia Jade has the talent to wow the judges during her “DWTS” run, or if she’ll gather enough votes from fans to keep her in the competition as she refines her ballroom dancing skills.
“Dancing With The Stars” Season 30 premieres on ABC on September 20, and will air Mondays on the network until a brand new champion is crowned.
