Sex and The City star Willie Garson dead

Actor Willie Garson has sadly died. The “Sex and The City” star, who was best known for playing Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) best male friend, Stanford Blatch, passed away this week at the age of 57, reports Us Weekly.

Garson’s son, Nathen, confirmed the news in a heartbreaking tribute to his father via social media.

“I love you so much papa. Rest In Peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I’m so proud of you,” Nathen wrote. “I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own. You’ll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I’m glad you can be at peace now. You always were the toughest and funniest and smartest person I’ve known. I’m glad you shared you’re [sic] love with me. I’ll never forget it or lose it,” he stated.

Currently, Willie Garson’s cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, many of the actor’s friends and co-stars are penning moving tributes to their late pal.

“Our sweet pal #WillieGarson has passed on. Dear soul, rest easy,” actor Rob Morrow tweeted. “I couldn’t have had a more brilliant TV partner,” the actor shared via social media on Tuesday night. “I’m devastated and just overwhelmed with Sadness. Taken away from all of us way soon. You were a gift from the gods. Rest my sweet friend. I love you,” actor Mario Cantone, who played Garson’s husband on “Sex and The City” wrote.

Many fans are now wondering how Garson’s death will impact the “Sex and The City” revival “And Just Like That.” The actor had confirmed that he was returning for the new HBO Max series and was excited to wear Stanford’s shoes (and colorful wardrobe) yet again.
