Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson was forced to walk off stage during his concert on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina due to illness. Nelson was on stage ready to perform at the Outlaw Music Festival when he suddenly unstrapped his guitar, threw his cowboy hat into the crowd and walked off the stage leaving fans very concerned.

According to TMZ the 85-year-old country music legend Willie Nelson was too sick to perform. Concert promoters, Live Nation told fans to keep their tickets and that they would be alerted of a rescheduled concert date in the near future.

It appears that Willie Nelson walked off stage twice during the show, however, immediately returned. The second time Nelson walked off stage the crowd waited for one hour before it was announced that Willie was unable to return to the stage due to illness.
Willie’s rep revealed that the music icon was suffering from a nasty stomach virus. He also stated that Willie was feeling much better today and would be performing his scheduled concert stop in Washington.

Blasting News reported earlier this year that Willie Nelson was also forced to cancel shows back in January due to breathing issues. The country legend was mid-performance of his opening number “Whiskey River” when he was suddenly struck with a coughing attack. The attack was so severe that Willie was forced to leave the stage to try and catch his breath due to suffering from a “bad cold or the flu.”

Nelson, despite his age, continues to travel the globe entertaining country music fans by the thousands. He has also been the victim of an online death hoax bandit on a number of occasions. Nelson previously revealed that he found the death hoaxes amusing and even recorded a song making light of the numerous times he has been  falsely reported dead.

We wish Willie Nelson a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him continue his concert tour.
