Apartment living is not for everyone. It takes a special type of person to tolerate the sounds penetrating through the thin walls and close quarters. Recently one woman returned to her apartment and was surprised to find a note taped to her door revealing that she had a disgruntled neighbor.
When the unexpecting tenant scanned the note it didn’t take the woman long to realize just how thin the walls and floors dividing the units in the building were. As she scanned the note she quickly went from feeling shocked to furious in seconds.
According to Express UK reports the intrusive neighbor had banned her upstairs neighbor from having sex after 10 pm. The recipient of the embarrassing letter was speechless after reading her neighbor wanted to place a ban on her bedroom activities.
She initially believed that she was always a mindful neighbor and took into consideration their feelings and privacy. However, now she feels that her’s has been invaded.
The letter-writing neighbor had left a detailed message along with a set of rules and regulations she found would be an adequate compromise. Of course, the insulted woman to to Reddit and shared her experience and a copy of the note captioned Found in an apartment hallway.
Disgruntled Neighbor Offers Sex Schedule Option
The letter began, “Hey! It’s your neighbor. I didn’t want to have to write this but it’s really bothering me now.” Continuing, the letter detailed the writer’s frustration and lack of sleep. Especially on school nights when others needed to study, and sleep.”
The note continues, “I apologize if my boyfriend and I have been loud but it is never on school nights because he is long-distance. And again, I really don’t care how loud you are as long as it’s not at 10 pm/11 pm/12 am and so on.”
They wrapped up their request, adding, “Again, I apologize if I have ever caused a disturbance. If you need to talk to me, obviously you know where I live. Thanks, your neighbor.”
Reddit users found the note amusing. It opened up quite a comical discussion on the social media platform with users commenting their thoughts and sharing their own similar bizarre experiences.
“This is the craziest thing, how will they enforce that ban,” questions one Redditor.
“You can scream as loud as you want on weekend,” adds one user. “I had an old roommate who was a medical resident and he would have his gf over at the most inopportune hours RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD,” claims another.
“Having sex at 10 on a school night?! Absolutely scandalous, jokes another. “I would frame this in an extremely tacky frame.”
No news as to how the angry woman responded to her neighbor’s bizarre request. However, most feel that it is highly unlikely that the sex ban request receipt heeded the comical weekend-only sex suggestions.
