Yellowstone Finale Spoilers Hint That An Unexpected Dutton Will Save The Ranch

Yellowstone Kevin Costner John Dutton

“Yellowstone” finale spoilers have been few and far between. However, some fans believe that they have the end of the series figured out. When it is all said and done, it seems that the fate of the ranch may fall on the shoulders of one very important Dutton family member, and it’s not who you’d think.

Yellowstone finale spoilers: Is Tate Dutton the savior of the ranch?

Longtime “Yellowstone” fans will likely remember that the ranch has been in the Dutton family for several generations. Those who watched the prequel series “1883” know that James Dutton (Tim McGraw) settled the ranch in Montana for a heartbreaking and emotional reason. Since that time, the ranch remained in the family through good times and bad. Now that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is in charge, things are taking a turn for the worse. However, his grandson, Tate Dutton, may be the person destined to save the ranch.

During a scene between James Dutton and a Native American leader, some major foreshadowing was shown. The Native American character told James that his family would take back the land in 7 generations, to which James agreed. Doing the math, it seems that Tate is the 7th generation Dutton. He also happens to be half Native American, thanks to his mother Monica’s heritage. Could it be that Tate was destined to run the ranch all along?

Tate’s destiny may have been mapped out long ago

Tate has made so secret about his love for the ranch. Since his days as a young child on the ranch, he’s loved the lifestyle. He’s also made it clear that he wants to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and run the ranch one day. However, with the ranch in jeopardy and the “Yellowstone” finale plot up in the air, it’s unclear how it will all end.

One Reddit user claimed that when John is out of the picture, Beth will likely want to sell her share of the ranch. Beth has been clear that she has no ties to the place. So, if she sells to Kayce, he can keep it for Tate until he’s old enough to run the ranch on his own. Tate could then give some land back to the Native Americans. He may also come up with an agreement that would make both sides happy. “This is how I always envisioned the series ending,” one person commented.

“Yellowstone” is currently wrapping up its run with Season 5, and will return for the final episodes in the future. Due to issues with Kevin Costner and the Hollywood strikes, it’s unclear when the show will return. However, fans can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
