Yellowstone Season 5 was just heating up when the show went on hiatus. Now fans have to wait until summer 2023 to see how things play out for the Dutton family. Of course, viewers have been speculating about what could happen now that the Dutton civil war appears to be on. Of course, many are concerned about the show’s most popular character, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).
Fans may remember that Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) learned about “The Train Station” in the Season 5 mid-season finale. After hearing the details of the place where the Dutton family dumps their bodies, she suggested that her adoptive brother Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) be taken to the Train Station.
Yellowstone Season 5 fans are worried about Rip Wheeler
Meanwhile, Jamie was busy making plans of his own. While scheming with his new lady love, Jamie hinted that he may want to take a hit out on his sister and/or father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Jamie would make it look like an accident so that he couldn’t be linked to the death. However, it may be a matter of which Dutton strikes first.
If Beth and John wanted to kill Jamie, they would likely look to Rip. Although Beth probably wouldn’t love getting her husband involved in the killing of her own brother, Rip is the family’s most trusted outsider. Over the years, Rip has gotten his hands dirty for John on several occasions, and he’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to keep the Duttons and the ranch safe. However, could Yellowstone Season 5 show Rip in real danger?
Cole Hauser weighs in on Rip’s possible demise
Fans are terrified that Rip may die on Yellowstone, but actor Cole Hauser has a little something to say about the rumors. The actor admitted that he’s not up on the latest Yellowstone Season 5 rumors, or the speculation surrounding Rip. However, he did confirm that his own mother tells him some of the internet gossip. It was his mother who informed him that viewers were worried about Rip’s death. Hauser then told his mother that she and the fans shouldn’t worry about Rip. “My mom’s told me a couple of them, and I said, ‘Mom, I do the killing. Don’t worry about it,’” Hauser told TODAY.
It looks like Yellowstone Season 5 will end with Rip’s life intact. However, viewers may be worried about other members of the Dutton family like Beth, John, Kayce, Jamie, and Monica. It appears that the war between the family will have at least one causality. Perhaps an unexpected victim may even get caught in the crosshair.
