Yellowstone spoilers suggest that a Dutton civil war is in the works for the second part of Season 5. In the mid-season finale, Beth was furious with Jamie about calling for their father John to be impeached as the Governor of Montana. Beth demanded that Jamie resign from his political job. She also threatened to use photos of him dumping the body of his late biological father over a cliff. Jamie then told Beth that if she revealed the photos to the police, John would also be in trouble.
Jamie went on to explain to Beth that the canyon is a place that is known on the Dutton ranch as the “train station.” This is the place where the family dumps all of the bodies of the people who cross them. Jamie then dropped the bombshell that everyone knows about the train station, including Beth’s husband, Rip, who has dropped off plenty of bodies there.

Later, Beth went to ask John about the train station and he told her everything she needed to know. Beth suggested that Jamie go to the train station. All the while, Jamie also weighed his options and considered ordering a hitman to take care of Beth. Now, fans are worried that the Dutton war may have a heartbreaking victim.
During Yellowstone Season 5, Rip has been pretty tame and on his best behavior. However, flashbacks did reveal that as a young man working on the ranch, Rip did kill his fellow cowboy, Rowdy, who spoke poorly of Beth. The incident led to Rip finding out about the train station and getting his Yellowstone brand. Although, it’s likely that Beth doesn’t know about Rip’s big secret.
Will Rip be put in a difficult position when Yellowstone returns?
However, the second part of Season 5 may have Beth and/or John asking Rip to do the unthinkable and asking Rip to kill Jamie and deliver him to the train station. Killing a Dutton likely would be a bit hard for Rip. However, he is extremely loyal to John and Beth and would do anything for them.
Meanwhile, if Rip finds out that Jamie ordered a hit on Beth he would likely want to take him out. Rip is extremely protective of his wife and wouldn’t stand for anyone trying to hurt her (via We’ve Got This Covered). It seems that Rip could get caught in the middle of the Dutton family war. It seems that things could get intense when the show returns with new episodes this summer.
