E! Online reports that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards called off their engagement after getting engaged in August of 2013 after dating for one year. The pair are now over, and fans are having interesting reactions to the news.
The big break up news comes just one week after Zayn revealed that he had signed with RCA Records after deciding to split with One Direction back in March.
“I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !!” Malik tweeted last week.
Zayn’s Life Is Rapidly Changing
When Zayn Malik left One Direction he claimed it was so that he could live a more normal life out of the spotlight, but many fans thought that Perrie Edwards could have had something to do with his decision.
“I’d like to apologize to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight,” he said at the time.
